Alberto Marconcini – Claudio Cinelli
It is a photograph of memory of time. The candid depictions of the installation, sheep surrounded by stars, which are none other than the stylistic reinterpretation of the “Explosions” of Leonardo da Vinci, taken from a manuscript of “Codice Atlantico”. Furthermore, it is the presence of a mythological spirit with spatial dislocation of the figures. The seven spheres model the positions of the stars of Ursa Minor, the chariot in eternal motion or “without peace”, bringing with it the North Star, the orientation point of man.
The position of two sheep points out the presence of another constellation that protects Ursa Minor called the Dragon, condemned by the gods to watch over a golden apple garden, of which the two figures represent the brightest shining stars, Eltanin and Thuban. “… homini sanza pace” and so it is a metaphor for the wish most desired by man: Peace.
